So I was in my office in Shepherdsville today. My client was totally surprised to learn that I can use a chapter 13 bankruptcy to pay back taxes at 50 cents on the dollar without penalty and interest. Some 3 AM in the morning tax settlement clown wanted to get them “reduced interest” while they paid the whole thing back. It’s almost as much of a scam as debt settlement companies…almost.
